Ok so last time I shot for my site nikkinova. com  , I shot at a really cool house. The house is owned by my boss at Playtime magazine ( the magazine I write for). Now being as though I am often laying down and looking up at these shoots ( tee hee) I do notice the ceilings  alot. This one rocked. Had to share it. Hahahah. Hey…its late…I have insomnia…why the fuck not? you know? hahahahah. Don’t even act like you don’t like it too though. Great faux finishing. Great light fixtures. I’m just sayin…..

Damn. How is it halfway through Monday already?! Time is flying by! Ok so as a lot of you already know I’ve been working out for the past 5 days in a row. 2nd and 3rd day I was so damn sore I could barely move and was poppin Advil like candy. It SUCKED! I am officially ok again. hahaha. I know. What a wuss huh? Mos of my friends work out all of the time and have for years. I am just now starting that. I have tried many times before and haven’t been able to stick with it. This time I REALLY AM going to! Shut up. I am! haha. Ok Time to get back to it. Hope today marks the beginning of a kick ass week for us all.

ok so my laptop started making loud squeeling noises so I immediately turned it off. I spent hous on the phone with apple tech support and did a lot of research online ( from my pc desktop! haha) and it is a 99 % probability that my hard drive is about to go. My hard drive is split so that half of my Mac laptop runs on wondows like a pc so that it works with the various cam networks that I work on. I had to go out and buy an external hard drive to back everything up BUT since my hard drive is plit on my laptop the external hard drive had to be split to back everything up. I had to take it to a guy named Justin at Mac matters in Phx and he did it for me for like 50 bucks. Split it back everything up, ran a few different diagnostics on it all for like 50 bones. Pretty cool. I highly recommend then for anyone in the Phoenix metropolitan area! I then took the laptop over to the genius bar at the apple store where I bought it and they did all kinds of diagnostics on it too and of course it wasn’t making the sounds when I was there. Kind of like when you take your car to the mechanic and it won’t do what it was doing for you to show them. Um…yeah. Anyway they still said that from what I was describing and where the sound was coming from and the fact that I stream a lot of live video from it…it’s prob the hard drive about to die. Totally sucks! It’s of course not under warranty so I wil be taking care of that sometime after labor day when my schedule and the schedule of the guy that will be doing it permits. In the meantime I am stuck on my desktop PC and it is not able to do all of the tings I need to do for work BUT I am getting by. I lost like a week of working ability so I will be camming like crazy over the next couple weeks on a couple different cam network sites. Today was going to be one of those busy cam days BUT the monsson storms have been going on and my power was out for most of the day. A power outage in Phoenix AZ in August is the last thing anyone needs. No A/C means pure hell for all animals. People can jump in the pool. Cats…not so much. lol. What was kinda cool though was that people actually came out of their houses. My and few other houses full of neighbors were all in the street at one point playing in the flooded streets/puddles aka ponds. hahaha. Everyone apparently hangs out at home in the same things…pajama pants and/or sweats/shorts. I had on my Eyore PJ shorts and a very nice gay man across the street was sporting tigger. Kizmet. hahaha.  I called the electric company in my area which is called E.D.3 and the guy came to my house within 10 min ofthe call. Pretty cool. The crappy part was that he tried to tell me that it was just my house and that lightning must have struck it and that I had to call an electrician and pay for it and that it wasn’t their fault. I was like huh? No lightning struck anything. There was no sound of a lightning strike, no lighting, and not burn marks or visual of a lightning strike. I started calling neighbors and the guy finally started looking at other peoples boxes and voltage checks and he soon realized that it was in fact the whole street. Now it wasn’t the neighborhhod mind you or even the block. Nope. Just my street. Sweet. hahaha. Ok so my hard drive, my power outage ( just my street) and my desktop also having issues..OH..and did I mention that my 2,300 dollar webcam decided to stop working on me? um…yeah. The good people of myfreecams actually SENT ME a new webcam so I could start working on their site right away.Of course they didn’t send me a crazy high end one like mine but ironically people have told me it looks better than the one I was using. Ain’t that some shit? It cost about 2200 less too? ha!  They also sent me tank tops,sweats, shorts, undies! Super cool folks and I will definitely be working on their site a LOT over the next couple of weeks.  If it goes well I might be on their all of the time. I will OF COURSE be on my site nikkinova . com  and here is a pic from today’s update! Log in and check it out.

Yesterday I got up at the crack of dawn, went a few towns over and shot for my site all day. I didn;t get home until the sun was setting.

I am just starting to “sort of” make a little progress in getting the packing of my house started as well as getting my new updates and content up on my site thanks to a friend of mine coming in from Cali to visit and give me a helping hand. If only I had 3 or 4 more. hahahaha.

Since it’s my blog and I haven’t posted a pic of me in a hot minute, here ya go. Now the reason I chose to use the term “Hot minute” is because this is a pic of me in my truck trying to motivate myself to get OUT of the air conditioned vehicle and step into the 118 degree temps of Arizona in August. Holy mother of GOD it’s hot!!!

I just started  going through my office to start organizing and prepparing for the packing and moving process that is coming in a couple weeks and I found so much stuff I forgot I have! Old content,photo shoots, videos and even a radio interview or 2. I also have a few great pic updates from when I shot with Lisa Boyle a few months ago and haven’t put them up on the site yet.  Just trying to stay cool in the heat of AZ while working on the site and future updates. Popsicles are a must! hahaha

How did I not know about the frozen yummy deliciousness that IS…”Vanilla Bean” from Starbucks. Holy hell! Yum yum yum! Oh and there’s no caffiene in it so I can drink it anytime of the day or night. I see a sugary sweet addiction coming on. Uh oh! haha

Ok so I have been going on and off of my cam in between working on video updates for my site and packing a little box or two here and there. I have a lot of time until I move so there’s no rush but I like to at least do one thing a day so it’s not all crazy at the last minute. Here’s the thing though….since I am going on and off of my cam throughout the day AND I am currently still in AZ where it’s hot as hell, I am literally just in my cam outfit or a bikini while working. Who else do you know would be packing to move in a fishnet bikini? hahaha. No one would even believe that probably but here’s the proof! hahaha. I am such a tard. Actually NO! I am quite efficient if you think about it. hahaha
